Egypt 8-Day Tour: Cairo, Luxor & Aswan

After leaving Giza, we transfer into central Cairo for the Prestigious Cairo Museum. Inside, the guide helps you focus on the collections rather than trying to cover every room at once. The visit usually takes place at a steady walking pace, with time to stop beside the pieces that interest you most. The view changes quickly: city buildings, bridges, boats and planted strips along the water all appear within the same sailing.

After the river activity, the itinerary moves south to Luxor and begins with Karnak temple. The journey continues along the Nile route with a visit to exceptional Edfu temple. We then travel onwards to Kom Ombo temple, set beside the river. Its unusual design reflects worship of two deities, and the guide explains how the paired sanctuaries shaped the plan. Look for the carved medical instruments and the reliefs connected with the ancient calendar. The stop involves walking over stone surfaces and through open courtyards. We make the southern transfer for monumental Abu Simbel, the rock-cut temples built during the reign of Ramesses II. The approach reveals the huge seated figures on the façade before you enter the decorated halls. Inside, the guide explains the royal imagery, the sanctuary and the relocation of the temples during the creation of Lake Nasser. The site is remote, so the transfer is a substantial part of this section and an early start may be needed.

After returning towards Aswan, we continue by boat to enchanting Philae temple on Agilkia Island. The water crossing adds a distinct change of pace, and the guide leads you through gateways, colonnades and reliefs dedicated to Isis. Wear shoes with a firm grip around the landing area and keep valuables secure during the boat ride. The schedule allows for the necessary transfers between these southern sites without treating the visits as a rushed photo stop.
