  • Unforgettable 9-Day Egypt Tour: Cairo, Siwa Oasis & Nile Cruise Day 4 -Siwa Oasis Adventure

    4) Day 4 -Siwa Oasis Adventure

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel. At 07:00 AM, your journey through the Siwa Oasis begins as we explore the region's fascinating landmarks.

Our first stop will be the Temple of the Oracle, also known as the Alexander the Great Temple. This iconic site is where Alexander the Great is believed to have consulted the Siwan oracle to confirm his divine lineage as the son of Zeus. This momentous event took place after his arduous journey through the desert, and the temple remains a significant piece of history.

Next, we’ll drive to the Salty Lake, where the unique high salinity of the water enables you to float effortlessly. It’s a surreal experience, so no swimming skills are needed! However, exercise caution and avoid getting water in your eyes, as it can cause discomfort. Be sure to visit one of the purest Crystal Lake-look for the ones where the bottom is clearly visible. After a swim, rinse off with mineral water to wash away the salt. These lakes are known for their healing properties, similar to Jordan’s Dead Sea.

At 11:00 AM, we will visit Cleopatra's Bath, also known as the Spring of the Sun. According to legend, Cleopatra herself bathed here. This serene spring has been a popular destination for travelers to Siwa for centuries.

Then, we head to the Temple of Umm Ubaydah (Amun Temple), located just 200 meters from the Oracle Temple. Built by Pharaoh Nectanebo of the 30th Dynasty, this structure was largely destroyed in 1896 during an Ottoman governor's attempt to acquire building materials. Despite the destruction, an inscribed wall remains, providing insight into its historical significance.

At 12:00 PM, enjoy a traditional Siwan lunch at Abdo Restaurant, where you'll taste the authentic flavors of the region.

In the afternoon, embark on an exciting desert adventure as we explore the Great Sand Sea in a 4x4 Jeep. Feel the thrill of sandboarding on the world’s best dunes, located right here in Siwa. The adrenaline rush is unmatched as you glide down the golden sand.

Next, visit the Bir Waheed Hot and Cold Springs, a natural wonder where you can experience the refreshing contrast of warm and cool waters.

As the day winds down, unwind with a traditional Bedouin tea while watching the sunset over the desert landscape. For the night, you have the choice to stay in a desert camp and enjoy a BBQ dinner under the stars, or opt for a comfortable stay at one of Siwa's eco-lodges.

Whether you choose the desert camp or a hotel, you're guaranteed a memorable, immersive experience in the stunning Siwa Oasis.
