Frequently Asked Questions

This expedition transcends the conventional Pyramids-and-cruise formula by incorporating: the mystical Siwa Oasis (site of Alexander's oracle, Berber heritage), the seldom-visited Dahshur with its Bent Pyramid, Fayoum's verdant oasis and cascading Wadi El Rayan waters, an enchanting felucca overnight voyage from Luxor to Edfu, immersion in Aswan's Nubian enclaves, and thrilling Marsa Alam or White Desert escapades—revealing Egypt's soul beyond mainstream attractions.

Fayoum stands as Egypt's foremost oasis, 100km southwest of Cairo — a lush expanse of irrigation channels, orchards, ponds, and the breathtaking Wadi El Rayan featuring Egypt's sole natural waterfalls. This sanctuary harbours Palaeolithic remains (the 'Whale Valley' or Wadi Al-Hitan, UNESCO-designated heritage) and is home to Amenemhat III's Hawara pyramid, one of antiquity's oldest pyramidal structures.

Absolutely. This tour features a singular felucca overnight passage from Luxor to Edfu — a traditional timber sailing vessel propelled by wind alone across the Nile. Repose beneath constellations on woven mats covering the deck, prepare rudimentary fare, and observe the eternal landscapes of the Nile riverbanks transitioning at dawn. This unmatched experience stands worlds apart from contemporary cruise ships, offering pure, authentic Nile immersion.

This itinerary balances intensity with restoration. Vigorous touring days intermix with transit days and leisured afternoons. Nile cruise and felucca passages offer inherent tranquillity. The concluding seaside interval (Red Sea resort or Marsa Alam) delivers consecutive unscheduled days permitting complete restoration. The program is calibrated never to overwhelm; guests depart genuinely invigorated rather than depleted.
