1) Day 1- Arrive in Cairo and Tour the Giza Pyramids
When you land at Cairo International Airport, our A1Toureg team will greet and support you. A professional tour guide will then lead you on a thrilling day to the Pyramids of Giza-home to the magnificent Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus structures. Continue with a visit to the remarkable Great Sphinx and the nearby Valley Temple. Savor a hearty lunch at a neighborhood eatery in Giza before proceeding to the celebrated Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square. The museum holds approximately 250,000 precious items, with a distinctive section showcasing Tutankhamun, including priceless gold artifacts and ornamentation preserved for roughly 3,500 years. To see the Royal Mummy Hall, request your guide to arrange a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (fee: 200 EGP). Please note that the Grand Egyptian Museum hasn't opened yet, but is anticipated to launch by late 2025.
Following the museum tour, you'll board a flight to Aswan, where transfer services will bring you to your lodging to unwind and get ready for tomorrow's explorations.
2) Day 2-Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor Journey
Enjoy breakfast on your cruise vessel, then embark on an early morning excursion to Abu Simbel departing from Aswan. Discover the impressive Abu Simbel Temples, hewn into rock between 1274 and 1244 BC. The Main Temple pays homage to Ramses II and deities Ra-Harakhty, Amun Ra, and Ptah, decorated with four massive statues. The secondary temple venerates Queen Nefertari and goddess Hathor. During the 1960s, both temples were moved to prevent flooding from the Aswan High Dam construction, an incredible UNESCO-recognized achievement.
Afterward, return to Aswan for a midday meal. Later, tour Aswan's premier attractions, featuring the Temple of Philae, consecrated to goddess Isis and among the final temples fashioned in traditional Egyptian design, circa 690 BC. You'll also witness the remarkable Aswan High Dam, finished in 1968 and producing Lake Nasser. To conclude, see the Unfinished Obelisk, a towering stone monument left incomplete, offering remarkable glimpses into ancient Egyptian construction methods.
Then, motor to Luxor for your stay at the elegant Nile Palace Steigenberger Hotel.

4) Day 4-Day Trip to Alexandria from Cairo
Journey from Luxor to Cairo with a warm reception and support before traveling to Alexandria (220 km/3 hours). Upon arrival, settle into your Cairo-center lodging overlooking the Corniche waterfront. Begin your sightseeing tour with memorable Graeco-Roman locations, such as:
The Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa: Hewn into hillside rocks on the southern face in the Carmous quarter, these underground burial chambers, from the 2nd century AD, exemplify Alexandria's remarkable synthesis of Egyptian and Greco-Roman design traditions. Discovered unexpectedly in 1900 after a donkey tumbled into them, they showcase intriguing burial customs of antiquity.
Pompey's Pillar: Towering at 30 meters, this granite pillar overlooks remnants of Rhakotis, the ancient community that birthed Alexandria. Constructed from red granite extracted from Aswan, Pompey's Pillar became a centuries-long symbol of the metropolis. Standing above Serapeum Temple's fragmentary remains, a previously splendid edifice, it remains an awe-inspiring monument.
The Roman Amphitheatre at Kom el Dikka: This location was once a prosperous zone inhabited with residences, thermal baths, and an entertainment venue. Known as the Park of Pan, locals appreciated this leisurely destination. The well-maintained remnants feature Egypt's singular Roman amphitheatre, consisting of 13 marble-constructed platform levels.
Lunch: Dine at an Alexandria cuisine establishment, perhaps the Fishery Market or Tikka, with magnificent overlooks of the Stronghold and fishing berth.
Bibliotheca Alexandrina: This contemporary architectural accomplishment, formed to evoke the storied ancient Library of Alexandria, contains countless periodicals, exhibition areas, and display halls. Debuted in 2002 to honor the ancient collection, it showcases a tremendous reading hall harboring up to eight million literary works. Featuring three exhibition spaces, multiple art showcases, an astronomical theater, and a preservation workshop for historic written works.
Fort Qaitbey: Erected by Sultan Qaitbey in the 15th century to safeguard Alexandria's port, this fortress occupies Pharos Isle, site of the legendary Beacon of Alexandria. Although the beacon was ruined by seismic tremors, traces of red material utilized in its development linger, preserving echoes of the city's impressive legacy. The fort provides spectacular Mediterranean panoramas.
Late afternoon: take a leisurely stroll beside the Corniche toward Fort Qaitbey to admire the vast seascape.
Finally, motor back to Cairo for an overnight stay.
5) Day 5-Journey Through Historic Cairo
Early morning retrieval from your Giza lodging at 08:00 AM, greeting your Egyptology specialist. Your voyage commences with a journey to the Saladin Stronghold, constructed by Salah al-Din atop the Moqattam Knolls in 1183 AD to counter Crusader incursions. Celebrated for its pure breeze and scenic vistas across Cairo, the Stronghold functions as a heritage location featuring religious buildings and cultural institutions, highlighting the distinguished Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha. Conceived by Ottoman designer Yousif Boushnaq, specifically transported to Cairo from Constantinople to build this magnificent work, the mosque's alabaster framework presents a striking visual opposition against the city's tan sandstone construction.
Enjoy an afternoon meal at a neighbourhood bistro in Vintage Cairo, then explore an assortment of the area's significant antiquarian and devotional locations. Walk through the Dangling Church, visit the Ezra Synagogue, appreciate the Church of St. Barbara, and tour the Church of Abu Serga, among Cairo's most antique Monophysite chapels.
Onward to the lively Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the antiquated and most eminent commercial centres in Arabian regions. Take in the effervescent ambiance of Cairo's heritage commercial venue, functioning as a commerce hotspot from the 1300s.
Upon conclusion of this captivating expedition, transfer back to your lodging in Cairo to spend another evening.
6) Day 6-Return for Your International Departure
Following your morning meal at your accommodation, you'll be transported to Cairo International Airport to catch your outbound airplane. Your Egyptology specialist will accompany you during checkout and guarantee a seamless transport to the airport for your trip back home. We extend our best wishes for a safe and comfortable voyage, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming you back to Egypt in the times ahead!
