Enjoy an early departure to Abu Simbel from Aswan Simbel temples were hewn into the mountainside on the Nile's west bank between 1274 and 1244 B.C. The primary temple was consecrated to Ramses the second, Ra-Harakhty, Amun Ra and Ptah, displaying 4 enormous statues, while the secondary temple honored Queen Nefertari and Goddess Hathor. Both were dismantled and relocated to elevated ground in a UNESCO triumph. Aswan attractions include the Temple of Philae and Felucca cruising Elephantine, the High Dam, and the incomplete Obelisk. Phiala temple was constructed to venerate the goddess Isis as the ultimate classical Egyptian structure. Its construction commenced around 690 BC, serving as a final sacred location. The High Dam stands at Egypt and Sudan's northern frontier as a stone-fill structure. The River Nile feeds it, creating Lake Nasser in the reservoir. The initiative started 1960, concluded 1968, and received official dedication 1971. The Unfinished Obelisk Aswan provided Egypt's premium granite for statuary and temple embellishment. The massive incomplete obelisk within the Northern Quarries offers instructive data regarding construction techniques, although complete methodology remains uncertain. Nearly 42m-long shaft's three sides were finished save for engravings. At 1168 tonnes, completion would have rendered it the heaviest stone element fashioned by ancient Egyptians. Travel to Luxor and stay overnight there.

  • 4) Day 4-Luxor Valley of Kings

To access the Boy Pharaoh Tutankhamun 's tomb requires an additional 200 Egyptian Pounds. The Temple of Hatshepsut A supreme specimen of preserved classical temples in Luxor . Rising in terraced fashion from the Theban hillside, the edifice harmonizes with limestone precipices as if sculpted by nature herself. Colossi of Memnon Twin monumental effigies of Amenhotep III remain from an extensive mortuary complex. Quartzite blocks transported 700 kilometers from Cairo construct these towering sentries. Standing 18 meters tall, they symbolize a once-grand western stronghold erected under Amenhotep III's reign.
