3) Day 3- Cairo to the white desert
Depart at 07:00 from your Cairo or Giza hotel and drive southeastward to Bahariya Oasis , roughly 350 km away. The journey spans approximately 4 hours with rest stops for restrooms and refreshments. Once there, board your 4x4 Jeep to traverse through the black desert , where you'll enjoy lunch at El Haize oasis. Later that afternoon, venture into the white desert National Park, Egypt's most celebrated desert destination. Head toward valley of Agabat , nestled deep in the white desert . To truly experience the otherworldly charm of this location, you must visit in person. Millions of years ago, this region lay beneath the sea. Over the ages, extraordinary formations of limestone and chalk developed. As twilight approaches with pink skies shifting to burning orange hues, the stone figures become silhouettes, and tranquility envelops everything. Gathered by a modest campfire and savoring basic Bedouin fare—chicken, rice, and vegetables—every bite seems incomparably delicious. Local Bedouin staff will arrange your dinner and setup for a night beneath the stars.
4) Day 4-white desert to Bahariya oasis
After breakfast under the open desert sky, you'll drive to Bahariya Oasis . En route, you'll see Crystal Mountain , locally called Gebel al-Izzaz, a shimmering crystal-formation hill often referred to as the desert's crown jewel. It's composed of quartzite crystals and displays spectacularly in sunlight. This natural wonder was discovered by chance decades ago. Head to Bahariya Oasis and relax in the thermal waters of Bir Sigam , a rejuvenating hot spring. Positioned 7 km east of Bahariya on the Cairo road, this spring offers excellent natural warmth. Lunch is served at a local Bahariya restaurant. Following lunch, explore Bahariya Oasis , including its palm and olive groves. Visit Gebel Maghrafa, where in 1914 archaeologists discovered one of the largest dinosaurs ever found (Stromer's Giant). See Lake al-Marun, the oasis's largest salt lake. Catch the sunset from the peak of English Mountain (Gebel Al Ingleez), which provides panoramic views of the oasis's northern expanse. Then head to Hotspring hotel for check-in and overnight stay.
5) Day 5- Bahariya oasis- Cairo
Following breakfast at the hotel, we'll explore the burial sites of Bannentiu and Djed-Ankh-Amun-Iuf (Zed-Amun), the ancient tombs at Qasr Selim from the 26th Dynasty. Archaeologist Ahmed Fakhry (1905-1973) unearthed four tombs here at the Qarat Qasr Selim ridge in 1938. Then, visit Bawiti , the principal settlement of Bahariya Oasis , followed by a tour of the Golden Mummies Museum and the Ain El Muftella temple within Bahariya Oasis . Finally, drive back to Cairo
6) Day 6- Old Cairo tour from Cairo
Hotel pickup from Giza begins at 08:00 am, traveling with your Egyptologist guide. Enjoy a thorough sightseeing tour of Cairo spanning 8 hours, covering Old Cairo's major historic sites and the bustling marketplace alleys of Khan El Khalili. Your guide will take you from your Cairo or Giza hotel to Saladin Citadel, erected by Salah al-Din atop the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD as a bulwark against Crusader invasions. Famed for its crisp mountain air and sweeping city panoramas, it's now a treasured historical complex housing mosques and museums, notably the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha. Built by Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who traveled especially from Istanbul for this monumental task, the mosque's white alabaster structure creates a striking visual juxtaposition with the surrounding tan-hued cityscape. A local-style lunch will be provided in the historic district. Subsequently, tour Old Cairo's notable landmarks including the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, Church of St. Barbara, and Church of Abu Serga, among Cairo's most ancient Coptic structures. Finally, wander the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, a premier marketplace established centuries ago. Experience the intricate web of narrow passages that have formed the commercial heart of Cairo's trade networks since the 14th century.
7) Day 7- International departure
Check out of the hotel and depart for Cairo airport to catch your international flight home.
