Giftun Island forms part of a protected national park in the Red Sea near Hurghada and is celebrated for some of the most pristine and vibrant coral reefs in Egypt. The island's two beaches — Small Giftun and Large Giftun — offer exceptional snorkelling with abundant marine life including turtles, rays, and scores of reef fish species.
The tour starts with hotel pick-up in Sahel Hasheesh and a private vehicle transfer to Hurghada marina. From there, a boat takes you to Giftun Island — approximately 45 minutes to one hour by speedboat. All sea transfers are included in the tour price.
Yes, Giftun Island lies within the Hurghada Marine Park (Giftun Island National Park) and is protected by Egyptian environmental legislation. Visitors must not touch or stand on the coral, collect shells or animals, or feed the fish. Reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen is strongly recommended. A national park entry fee applies and is not included in the tour price.
Pack reef-safe (biodegradable) sunscreen, a towel, a change of clothes, water, sunglasses, a hat, and a waterproof bag for your valuables. Snorkelling equipment is provided, though you are welcome to bring your own. An underwater camera is strongly recommended to capture the stunning marine life, and cash for the national park fee.

1) Giftun Island snorkelling excursion
An A1toureg representative will collect you from your hotel in Sahel Hashesh for the drive to Sahel Hashesh Marina. On arrival, you will be escorted to the boat jetty to board your vessel. You will then set sail for Giftun Island, part of the protected National Park in the Red Sea, and enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch on board including freshly grilled fish. The captain will drop anchor at a private sandy beach, allowing time to swim, snorkel, dive, or simply relax and sunbathe. Sail back to the jetty for your return transfer to the hotel.
