Yes, Giftun Island is a protected protected national marine sanctuary and there is an entrance fee payable at the island. This fee is usually included in our tour price but please confirm at the time of booking. The fee goes towards the conservation of the reef and island ecosystem.
By exclusive speedboat, the journey from Sahel Hasheesh to Giftun Island takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes, depending on sea conditions and the starting point. This is much faster than larger tour boats, giving you more time to savour the island.
