Your Itinerary

  • 1) Day 1: Marsa Alam - Cairo Tour

A car takes you from your hotel at 00:00 by air-conditioned car from Marsa Alam to Hurghada airport. You will fly from Hurghada , a drive of roughly 2 hours 30 minutes to Hurghada airport from Marsa Alam . Your flight departs at 05:00 from Hurghada , landing in Cairo at 06:30 after a 1-hour flight. From there your tour guide meets you for the Cairo portion of the trip, beginning at Giza with the Pyramids of Giza ( Cheops , Chephren, and Mykerinus ), followed by the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple . Lunch is served near the Pyramids at a local Giza restaurant, then it's time for the Egyptian Museum , the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Tahrir, home to a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back 5000 years, plus an exclusive Tutankhamen exhibit — a hoard of treasure, gold, and jewelry buried with him for over 3,500 years until discovered in 1920. Should you wish to see the mummies royal hall, your tour guide can arrange a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization at an added cost of 200 Egyptian Pounds. Note that the new Grand museum has not yet opened; it's expected to open sometime in 2022. From here you'll fly to Luxor and transfer to your hotel in Luxor - Steigenberger Nile Palace

  • 2) Day 2: Luxor Tour - Marsa Alam

An optional balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings is available for 85 $ per person; we'll collect you from your hotel in Luxor to visit Karnak Temple: no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak . It is the largest temple complex ever raised by human hands, embodying the combined efforts of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is in fact three main temples along with smaller enclosed temples and several outer temples spread across 247 acres. Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Luxor , followed by a motorboat crossing of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings , final resting place for Egypt's rulers of the 18th to 20th dynasties, including the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. Their tombs were stocked with everything a ruler might require in the afterlife, and much of the interior decoration remains remarkably well preserved. Hatshepsut Temple ranks among the most beautiful and best-preserved of all Ancient Egyptian temples, built across three levels linked by two wide central ramps. The Colossi of Memnon — two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III — are all that remains of a once-complete mortuary temple, carved from quartzite sandstone quarried in Cairo and hauled 700 KM to Luxor .
Once your Luxor tour wraps up, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Marsa Alam , arriving around 18:30
