1) Habu Temple Valley Of Workers & Queens
Your adventure begins at morning, as our guide picks you up from your hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor. A comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle will transport you to the West Bank of the Nile, where the ancient world awaits. Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Medinat Habu, an archaeological gem nestled at the foot of the Theban Hills. This site, which mirrors the modern city of Luxor across the Nile, is renowned for the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III. This majestic temple, stretching 150m in length, is a testament to orthodox design and bears a striking resemblance to the mortuary temple of Ramesses II, the Ramesseum. As the day unfolds, we journey to Deir el-Medina, also known as The Valley of the Worker. This ancient Egyptian village was home to the skilled artisans who crafted the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period (ca. 1550–1080 BC). The vibrancy of the paintings here is truly breathtaking as if time has stood still. Our final destination is the serene Valley of the Queens, a sacred place where Pharaohs’ wives were laid to rest in ancient times. Known as Ta-Set-Neferu, or “the place of the Children of the Pharaoh,” it houses the tombs of queens, princes, princesses, and nobility from the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1550–1070 BCE).
