1) Day 1: Soma Bay to Giza
Your journey begins with a hotel pickup at 02:30 in Soma bay, followed by a transfer to Hurghada airport for your early flight to Cairo . The flight departs at 05:00 and touches down in Cairo at 06:00. At Cairo airport, your private guide will be waiting to take you straight to the Pyramids of Giza — the legendary trio of Cheops , Chephren , and Mykerinus . Next, stand before the Great Sphinx and explore the Valley Temple nearby. A lunch break follows at a local Giza restaurant before heading on to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. This extraordinary institution houses over 250,000 authentic artifacts spanning 5,000 years of history, with a standout gallery devoted to Tutankhamen — his treasures, gold, and jewels lay undisturbed in his tomb for more than 3,500 years until they were unearthed in 1920. Should you wish to enter the royal mummies hall, ask your guide to arrange a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization — note that this costs an additional 200 Egyptian Pounds. The New Grand Museum is not yet open to the public. That evening, you will check in to the 5-star Steigenberger Pyramids hotel for an overnight stay in a Pyramids view room, with dinner served at the hotel.
Optional: Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids — available at 40 $ per person
2) Day 2: Cairo to Soma Bay
After breakfast, check out and meet your private guide to explore the best of Cairo . Your Egyptologist collects you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 08:00 am for a sweeping 8-hour tour through the greatest landmarks of Old Cairo and the storied lanes of the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Setting off from your Cairo or Giza hotel, you'll head up to the Saladin Citadel — a mighty fortress raised by Salah al-Din on the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD to hold back the Crusader armies. Celebrated for its crisp breezes and panoramic vistas over Cairo , the Citadel is today a protected heritage site home to mosques and museums. Pride of place goes to the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha — a masterwork commissioned from Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who travelled to Cairo from Istanbul expressly to create this building, whose luminous alabaster facades stand in striking contrast to the surrounding sandstone cityscape. Lunch is served at a local restaurant in Old Cairo . Afterwards, wander through Old Cairo taking in iconic sites such as the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga — among the most ancient Coptic places of worship in Cairo .
Head next to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the most storied markets in the Middle East. Since the 14th century, its tangle of alleyways has remained the beating heart of Cairo 's trade. From there, transfer to Cairo airport for the return flight to Hurghada and onward transfer to your hotel in Soma bay
