Shaab Samadai, better known as the Dolphin House, is a protected horseshoe-shaped coral reef roughly 40 km from Marsa Alam, home to a large resident pod of spinner dolphins and ranked among the world's finest spots to snorkel alongside them.
You'll be collected from your hotel at 07:30. The boat leaves Marsa Alam harbour around 08:45, reaching Samadai reef near 09:15. Expect 2 snorkeling stops at the reef with lunch on board, then an afternoon return.
Dolphins live at Shaab Samadai year-round and sightings are very common, but since these are wild, free-ranging animals, encounters can't be promised. That said, the site boasts one of the highest dolphin encounter rates in the Red Sea, so most guests do see them.
It does - lunch is served on board between the snorkeling stops, and snorkeling gear such as mask and fins is provided too. Water and soft drinks are generally available throughout the outing.
