First, you will visit the Great Pyramid of Giza (also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops ) is the oldest and largest of the pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

The great pyramid was built as a tomb for the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu and estimate that it was built in the 26th century BC during a period of around 27 years. Initially standing at 146.5 metres (481 feet), the Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years. Throughout history, the majority of the smooth white limestone casing was removed, which lowered the pyramid's height to the present 138.5 metres. What is seen today is the underlying core structure. The base was measured to be about 230.3 metres (755.6 ft) square, giving a volume of roughly 2.6 million cubic metres (92 million cubic feet), which includes an internal hillock If you wish to visit the burial chamber of King Cheops . You can ask theTrip guide to buy it for you it costs 400 l. E per person( 26$ per person)

Frequently Asked Questions

The Imhotep Museum at Saqqara is a small but excellent on-site museum dedicated to Imhotep, the legendary architect who designed the world's first pyramid. The museum displays artefacts excavated from Saqqara including statues, sarcophagi, canopic jars, and mummies. It provides valuable context before exploring the Step Pyramid complex.

The drive from Giza to Saqqara is approximately 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. The sites are relatively close — both are on the west bank of the Nile. The journey passes through agricultural areas and small towns, giving you a glimpse of everyday Egyptian life between the ancient monuments.

Do not miss the Step Pyramid itself, the beautifully restored colonnaded entrance hall and courtyard, the Heb Sed Court where the pharaoh's rejuvenation festival was symbolically held, and the elaborately decorated private tombs of nobles such as Ti, Kagemni, and Mereruka which contain some of the most vivid ancient Egyptian wall paintings in existence.

The Solar Boat Museum (Grand Egyptian Museum Solar Boats Pavilion) at Giza is typically not included as a standard stop on this itinerary, but can be added on request for a small supplement. The museum houses the ancient funeral barge of Khufu, discovered buried in pieces beside his pyramid and painstakingly restored over decades.

Fantastique expérience! Les monuments séculaires et la richesse historique étaient absolument captivants. La visite de Memphis et Saqqara était tout aussi impressionnante que les pyramides elles-mêmes. C'était une journée mémorable.
