1) Day 1 – Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple
In the early morning hours, your private A.C. Car will collect you from your hotel in Soma Bay for a comfortable transfer to Luxor , where your overnight adventure in Luxor from Soma Bay begins. On arrival, your dedicated private tour guide will be waiting to escort you to:
Karnak Temple : Among all the sacred sites in Egypt, none rivals the grandeur of Karnak . This extraordinary complex — the largest ever raised by human hands — stands as a testament to the cumulative genius of successive generations of ancient architects and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak actually comprises three main temples, a series of smaller enclosed sanctuaries, and numerous outer temples spread across 247 acres of sacred land.
Luxor Temple: At the heart of ancient Thebes, the Temple of Luxor served as the sacred venue for the celebrated festival of Opet. Raised primarily by Amenhotep III and Rameses II , this magnificent structure provided the backdrop for the elaborate rituals through which the ruler's mortal nature was united with his divine role.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Luxor overlooking the Nile,
Glide along the river on a Felucca as the sun dips below the horizon
After dark, witness the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak , an immersive performance that opens with a dramatic historical prologue tracing the rise of the great city of Thebes and the founding of the Karnak Temple .
Through stirring narration, the show brings to life the triumphs of the most celebrated pharaohs, weaving a vivid and poetic account of the artistic masterpieces and enduring legacy preserved within the walls of Karnak temple . Overnight at 5 Stars Hotel. (Hilton Luxor )
2) Day 2 – West Bank & Dendera
Breakfast at your hotel, after which your private tour guide and air-conditioned vehicle will be ready to take you to: Valley of the Kings : This legendary royal necropolis served as the final resting ground for Egypt's rulers from the 18th through the 20th dynasty, sheltering tombs belonging to great pharaohs such as Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamun .
Each tomb was furnished with every material comfort a king might require in the afterlife. A remarkable amount of the painted decoration covering the tomb walls has survived in excellent condition. Hatshepsut Temple: Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved sanctuaries from the whole of Ancient Egypt, this temple rises dramatically across three terraced levels connected by two broad central ramps. Colossi of Memnon: A pair of colossal stone effigies of King Amenhotep III — all that survives of an entire mortuary temple complex — stand sentinel on the West Bank.
Carved from blocks of quartzite sandstone quarried near Cairo and then hauled 700 KM to Luxor Lunch served during the excursion Continue on to Qena City, home to one of Egypt's most celebrated ancient monuments, the Dendera temple Dendera temple The Temple of Hathor was raised primarily during the Late Ptolemaic era, under the reigns of Ptolemy XII and Cleopatra VII, with further embellishments added throughout the Roman occupation. Despite being commissioned by a dynasty of foreign rulers, its architectural vocabulary follows the great classical tradition of Egyptian temple design — with the notable exception of the hypostyle hall's facade, which an inscription above the doorway attributes to the Emperor Tiberius. Elsewhere in the complex, striking reliefs celebrate the Ptolemaic monarchs. Carved in bold relief across an exterior wall is a monumental scene featuring Cleopatra VII alongside her son by Julius Caesar and co-regent, Ptolemy XV (widely known as Caesarion). Both figures are rendered in authentic Egyptian dress, depicted in the act of offering sacrifices to the gods. Hathor's association with healing gave rise to a dedicated sanatorium within the temple precinct, where pilgrims journeyed in search of the goddess's restorative power. Sacred water — consecrated by being poured over statues inscribed with holy texts — was used for therapeutic bathing; the priests of Hathor dispensed medicinal unguents; and sleeping quarters were set aside for devotees who hoped to receive the goddess's guidance through their dreams. At the end of the day, your driver will return you to your hotel in Soma Bay .
