Following your museum visit, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo before continuing to the historic Citadel of Salah El-Din, one of the city’s most impressive medieval fortresses. Built during the reign of Salah ad-Din between 1176 and 1182, the Citadel served as Egypt’s seat of power for nearly 700 years and offers spectacular panoramic views over Cairo.

Your tour continues with a visit to the renowned Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also known as the “Alabaster Mosque,” due to its extensive use of pure alabaster in its interior and exterior walls. Constructed between 1830 and 1848, the mosque was inspired by the famous Blue Mosque of Istanbul and stands today as one of Cairo’s most iconic landmarks.
