1) Day 1: “Journey to Kom Ombo and Edfu: A Day of Ancient Wonders”:
Your journey begins at morning when our guide picks you up from your hotel in Aswan. You’ll be transported in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Kom Ombo, a temple that stands majestically overlooking the Nile. This unique temple is dedicated to two divinities, each with its entrance: Haroeris, the falcon-headed god, and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility. After exploring Kom Ombo, we’ll continue to Edfu, home to the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. After lunch at a local restaurant in Luxor, we’ll visit the Karnak Temples, a testament to the grandeur of worship in ancient Egypt. We’ll end the day at the Luxor Temple, a creation of Pharaoh Amunhotep III completed by Ramesses II. You’ll then be driven to your hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.
2) Day 2: “Unveiling the Secrets of Luxor: A Day of Pharaonic Majesty”:
We start the day with a visit to the west bank of Luxor, home to the Valley of the Kings, a burial ground for many pharaohs. Notable tombs include those of Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, Ramssess VI, Mrenptah, and Amonhotep II. We’ll then visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh who reigned in ancient Egypt. On our way back, we’ll pass by the Colossi of Memnon, remnants of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. You’ll then be driven back to your hotel in Aswan.
