A speedboat gets you around Abu Dabbab's best snorkeling spots fast, so more of your time in the water goes toward spotting dugongs and turtles. Compared with a standard boat trip, less time is spent traveling and more is spent snorkeling, which raises your odds of a sighting.
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Port Ghalib or Marsa Alam at 11:30 AM. Hotels further north may need an earlier pickup. The boat leaves the marina mid-morning, timed for the best conditions to encounter marine life at Abu Dabbab Bay.
Abu Dabbab is well known for dugong sightings, and you're also likely to come across sea turtles, plenty of tropical fish, rays, and colourful coral. This bay ranks among the most biodiverse snorkeling spots along Egypt's Red Sea coast.
Pack a swimsuit, towel, reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Snorkeling equipment is provided for you. Bring some cash for optional purchases at the marina. Since water and refreshments come with the tour price, you won't need to bring extra food.

1) Hotel Pickup
We will collect you from your hotel in Port Ghalib or Marsa Alam at 11.30 am. Hotels further north or south may have an earlier pickup, with an extra transfer fee, depending on where your hotel is located.
2) Reaching Abu Dabab
You'll reach Abu Dabab, a gorgeous snorkeling and diving bay near Marsa Alam . Coral-lined sides teem with colorful fish for snorkeling, while the sandy shore, seagrass beds, and warm, crystal-clear water shelter a wide range of colorful fish, Green Turtles, and the endangered Dugong, which sometimes drifts into the sheltered bay to graze on seagrass; you'll receive your snorkeling gear here.
3) Snorkeling Straight from the Beach
The snorkeling session runs for roughly an hour, during which you'll get to see the Green Sea Turtles.
4) Lunch Break
Lunch on the beach can be added for around 10 to 15 Euro per person (optional).
5) Speedboat Ride in Search of Dugongs
Take part in an extra exciting outing- searching for the dugong by speed boat from the beach- which boosts your odds of a sighting. Departing at 14:00, this excursion lasts roughly 1 hour 30 minutes.
6) Heading Back to Your Hotel
Time to head back to your hotel in Marsa Alam or Port Ghalib.
