1) Day tour to Mount Sinai and St. Catherine's Monastery from Cairo

You will be picked up from your Hotel in Cairo by a private car and then drive to St.Catherine you will arrive after around 6 Hours. A light lunch will be served on the way. Then visit St. Catherine's Monastery, too. Your entrance ticket and a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed monastery are part of the package. which is considered one of the most famous monasteries in the world. The monastery was dedicated to one of Alexander’s rulers, St Catherine, who was tortured to death for the sake of her new faith. Then, you will meet your guide who will assist you to climb Mount Sinai Mount Sinia: Is the Mount where Moses received the 10 Commandments . This day tour from Cairo includes round-trip transportation by air-conditioned vehicle, a visit to St. Catherine's Monastery, the Burning Bush, and the monastery's museum. You will also have the opportunity to climb Mount Sinai (Moses Mountain), with a guide accompanying you throughout the day.

Mount Sinai has two routes: the Steps of Penitence (3,750 steps carved into rock, steep and strenuous) and the Camel Path (a gentler zigzag trail taking about 2 hours). Most visitors take the Camel Path, which is manageable for reasonably fit individuals. Camels are available for hire for those who prefer assistance.

Modest dress is required for visiting St. Catherine's Monastery; shoulders and knees must be covered for both men and women. For the mountain climb, wear comfortable, sturdy shoes with good grip and bring a jacket as the summit can be very cold even in summer. Sun protection and plenty of water are essential.

The drive from Cairo to St. Catherine's Monastery takes approximately 6 to 7 hours each way through the Sinai Peninsula. Tours typically depart from Cairo in the early evening, arrive at night, and begin the monastery visit and optional mountain climb the next morning. It is a full day journey in each direction.

A fascinating tour with incredible historical significance. Watching the sunset over the Sinai Desert was truly mesmerizing. The climb was a bit challenging but well worth it. St. Catherine's Monastery was beautifully serene. A must-do trip when in Egypt!
