Cairo and Nile Cruise Tour from Hurghada

Today focuses on The Egyptian Museum in central Cairo. Inside, your guide leads you through selected galleries rather than expecting you to cover every room at once. You see statues, funerary objects, jewellery and everyday items from several periods of Egyptian history, with time to ask questions about the collection and the people who made and used these objects.

After the museum, you have time for lunch and a slower afternoon in Cairo. Depending on the group’s pace and local conditions, your guide can suggest a nearby area for a walk or help you arrange a relaxed break before the next stage of the tour. Keep your evening easy: the following morning includes the transfer south to Luxor, where you join the Nile cruise and begin four nights on the river.

After breakfast, you leave Cairo for Luxor by the arranged domestic transfer or road connection included in your tour plan. The travel time depends on the chosen transport and operating conditions, and our team confirms the details before departure. On arrival, you are welcomed by the cruise team, complete check-in and settle into your cabin for the first of four nights on the Nile.

Later, visit Luxor temple, reached from the cruise area by a short local transfer. The temple is especially atmospheric as the route moves between its entrance, columned spaces and inner courts. Your guide explains how the complex developed over different reigns and how it was connected with the wider religious landscape of ancient Thebes. Return to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor.

The morning visit crosses the Nile to Luxor’s West Bank. At the Valley of the Kings, you enter the tombs open for visitors that day and see painted corridors leading down into the rock. After rejoining the ship, continue towards Aswan for your third night on board.

Arrive in Aswan and begin with the High dam, an important modern structure that changed flood control, agriculture and settlement along the Nile. Your guide explains its effect on the river and the relocation of historic sites. Continue by boat to Phiala temple, also known as Philae, set on an island and dedicated mainly to Isis. The boat crossing is part of the visit, and the landing area can be uneven.

In the afternoon, travel by boat to The Nubian village. The journey gives you a different view of Aswan’s islands and riverbanks, while the village visit introduces local homes, crafts and daily life. After breakfast, disembark in Aswan and travel to the Abu Simbel temples. The journey is an early start and takes several hours by road, but it leads to two of Egypt’s most important southern monuments.
