Your guide explains how the reservoir affected the Nile Valley and nearby communities. You then continue to the Phiala temple, reached by a short boat ride across the lake. The temple complex honours Isis and was moved to higher ground to protect it from rising water.

Later, travel by boat to the Nubian village, where brightly painted houses line the river and daily life follows the water. You can walk through the village, meet local residents and see traditional details at a comfortable pace. Return to the cruise boat for lunch or rest, depending on the sailing schedule. The evening is spent on board as the vessel prepares to continue north.

An early departure takes you by road to the Abu Simbel temples, a journey across the desert south of Aswan. The two rock-cut temples were built by Ramesses II and are known for their huge entrance figures, deep interior chambers and carefully aligned reliefs. Your guide gives you time to study both temples and explains the relocation project that saved them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

After returning to Aswan, you rejoin the cruise boat and continue the voyage north. The rest of the day follows the slower rhythm of the Nile: lunch on board, open views from the deck and villages passing along the banks. Sailing times can change with lock and river traffic arrangements, so our team keeps the day's plan clear while leaving room for rest after the early visit.

This day is centred on the cruise itself. After breakfast, you can spend time on the upper deck as the boat moves through the Nile Valley, passing fields, palm groves and small riverside settlements. Your guide is available to answer questions about the landscapes and the farming communities that depend on the river. Meals are served on board, and there is no long road transfer.

The cruise schedule may include time near the locks and other routine sailing arrangements, so the pace remains flexible rather than rushed. Take the afternoon to rest, read or photograph the changing views from the deck. In the evening, the boat continues toward Luxor, where the next day's programme focuses on the west and east banks. You spend your third night on board before disembarking after breakfast.

After breakfast, you leave the boat for the west bank of Luxor. The first visit is the Valley of the Kings, where selected tombs descend into the limestone hillside and contain painted scenes from ancient Egyptian funerary beliefs. You then see Hatshepsut temple, built in terraces against the cliffs and reached by a broad approach. At the edge of the cultivation, the Colossi of Memnon mark the remains of a large royal temple.

After a break for lunch, cross to Luxor's east bank and visit Karnak temple. Its courtyards, pylons and columned halls cover a large area, so your guide sets a practical walking route and allows time for photographs. The final visit is Luxor temple, especially atmospheric later in the day when its columns and statues begin to light up. After sightseeing, transfer to your Luxor accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, our team transfers you to Luxor Airport for the flight to Cairo. On arrival, your guide meets you and takes you into the city for a day focused on historic Cairo. At the Citadel, you visit the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, known for its spacious interior, large central dome and views across Cairo. Modest clothing is required, and shoes are removed before entering the prayer hall.

Continue to Old Cairo, where churches and historic religious buildings sit within a compact area shaped by centuries of different communities. Later, walk through the Old Bazar, where shopkeepers sell spices, textiles, metalwork and souvenirs. The lanes can be crowded, so stay with your guide and keep valuables secure. After the visits, transfer to your Cairo hotel and leave the evening free to rest.

Your Cairo sightseeing begins at The Pyramids of Giza. Walk around the pyramid plateau with your guide and learn how the monuments were planned, built and used as royal tombs. If you want to enter a pyramid, tickets and access are subject to the site's daily arrangements and are handled separately from the outside visit. The open plateau involves uneven ground, so comfortable shoes are useful.

Continue to The Sphinx, where the lion-bodied statue faces the pyramid field. After a lunch break, visit The Egyptian Museum in central Cairo to see royal statues, everyday objects and funerary collections arranged across its galleries. The order can change with traffic and museum access, but the programme includes time at both the Giza plateau and the museum. Return to your hotel for your final night in Cairo.

After breakfast, check out and meet our team for the transfer back to Hurghada. The road journey crosses the Eastern Desert, with rest stops arranged along the route so you can travel comfortably. Your driver confirms the drop-off details before leaving Cairo and stays in contact during the transfer.
