Construction began around 690 BC, and it was one of the last outposts where the goddess was worshipped The High Dam Aswan High Dam is a rock-fill dam located at the northern border between Egypt and Sudan. The dam is fed by the River Nile and the reservoir forms Lake Nasser. Construction for the project began in 1960 and was completed in 1968. It was officially inaugurated in 1971. The Unfinished Obelisk Aswan was the source of ancient Egypt’s finest granite, used to make statues and embellish temples, pyramids, and obelisks. The large unfinished obelisk in the Northern Quarries has provided valuable insight into how these monuments were created, although the full construction process is still not entirely clear. Three sides of the shaft, nearly 42m long, were completed except for the inscriptions.     The trip from Luxor to Aswan exceeded all my expectations! Le Fayan Nile Cruise was fantastic, offering top-notch amenities. The visits to the Valley of Kings and Karnak temples were inspirational. Sailing on the Nile with a felucca was an experience I will cherish forever.

    Die Nilkreuzfahrt war eine großartige Erfahrung. Die Le Fayan war komfortabel und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten wie das Tal der Könige und die Tempel waren unglaublich. Ein entspannender und lehrreicher Urlaub!

    Le Fayan Nile Cruise provided a remarkable journey through ancient Egypt. The Karnak and Luxor temples are must-see wonders. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful felucca ride on the Nile. The staff were attentive and made sure every detail was perfect.

    The Nile Cruise between Luxor and Aswan was absolutely breathtaking. Le Fayan Nile Cruise provided a luxurious experience with stunning views. Visiting the Valley of Kings and the Karnak temples was like stepping back in time. Sailing on the Nile with a felucca was a unique and peaceful experience. Highly recommend this tour!

    This Nile Cruise was a dream come true! From exploring Luxor temple to the breathtaking Karnak temples, every moment was mesmerizing. The cruise on Le Fayan was luxurious and the felucca ride on the Nile was the cherry on top. Absolutely loved it!

    Eine wunderbare Reise! Die Kreuzfahrt auf dem Nil von Luxor nach Assuan war einfach magisch. Die Tempel und der Besuch des Tals der Könige waren beeindruckend. Besonders die Fahrt mit der Feluke war sehr entspannt. Viele Dank für diese unvergesslichen Tage!
