The Sindbad Submarine is a real yellow submarine that takes you on an underwater journey through the Red Sea coral reefs without getting wet. You sit inside the air-conditioned submarine and watch tropical fish, coral gardens, and possibly sea turtles glide past the portholes during the 2-hour excursion.
Yes, it is perfect for non-swimmers, elderly guests, and families with young children. Since you remain completely dry inside the submarine, there are no swimming skills required. Children find the experience magical and it is often one of the most memorable highlights of a Red Sea holiday.
The Sindbad Submarine dives to a maximum depth of approximately 20–22 meters. This is deep enough to pass through coral reef walls and encounter a wide variety of marine life, while remaining well within safe operational depths. The journey lasts about 45 minutes underwater.
From the submarine portholes you can observe vibrant coral formations, schools of reef fish including angelfish, parrotfish, and snappers, moray eels in rock crevices, and with luck a passing sea turtle or stingray. A diver outside the submarine hand-feeds fish to attract them close to the windows.

1) Sindbad Submarine trip in El Gouna
Go on a fantastic underwater trip on the Sinbad Submarine and discover the marine life in the Red Sea on a 3-hour trip from El Gouna . After you are picked up from your hotel, you will be transferred to the pier for boarding. The Sinbad Submarine seats 44 people and 2 pilots and has windows specially constructed to maximize your underwater viewing. Once you head below the water, you will have approximately 50 minutes to enjoy the views of the Red Sea at a depth of 72 feet (22 meters) below the surface. When you are done exploring the underwater ecosystem, the submarine will return you to the surface. You will then be transferred back to your hotel.
