Yes, the jeeps are specially maintained 4x4 vehicles driven by experienced desert guides who know the terrain well. Safety belts are mandatory. The guides communicate by radio and always travel in convoys for additional safety. The activity is suitable for most ages.
Morning safaris (departing around 6:00–7:00 AM) are cooler and offer beautiful golden light for photography. Sunset safaris (departing around 3:00–4:00 PM) provide dramatic lighting and cooler temperatures, plus the experience of stargazing after dark. Both are popular options.
