From the majesty of the Pyramids and the enigmatic Sphinx to the awe-inspiring Valley of the Kings in Luxor, every moment was unforgettable. Our guide was knowledgeable and made ancient history come alive. Flying between Cairo and Luxor was a breeze. Highly recommend this tour for anyone short on time but eager to explore the wonders of Egypt.
1) Day 1- Alexanderia- Cairo-Luxor
Marsa Alam Tours representative will pick up you from your cruise in Alexandria port and then transfer you to Cairo airport to fly to Luxor upon arrival you will be accompanied by a tour guide to visit ►Valley of the Kings : The final resting place of Egypt's rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty is home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. the tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world. Most of the decoration inside the tombs is still well preserved. ► Karnak Temple: No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak . It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land. ► Hatshepsut Temple It is one of the most beautiful & best preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together. ►Colossi of Memnon: Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone which exist in Cairo and then moved 700 KM to Luxor In the Evening you can enjoy An Optional Tour Sound and Light Show at Karnak : The show starts with a historical introduction covering the birth of the great city of Thebes and the erection of the Karnak Temple. The show narrates the glorious achievements of some great Pharaohs as you listen to a magnificent and poetic description of the artistic treasures and great legacy which the Karnak temple encloses. then you will be transferred to your hotel to spend the overnight
2) Day 2-Luxor- Cairo
Pick up from your hotel in Luxor then fly to Cairo. You will be met and then transferred to Giza. You will visit the pyramids of Giza. Cheops , Chephren & Mykerinus . After seeing the famous pyramids you can head to visit the Valley Temple . While doing that you can have a closer look at the Great Sphinx - the legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of king Chephren. Possibilities if the customer preferred to enter inside the great or the boat museum, the Cheops , But both tours are not included in the tour price Then continue your day tour to Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of Egyptian art in the world. It exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen - A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in 1920 when his tomb was excavated.
The entrance fee to the mummies room is not included. Then you will be Passing By Tahrir Square, where the Egyptian revolution began in 2011. Your tour finishes with a drop-off at your hotel. at the end of your tour in Cairo, transfer to Safaga Port.
